For the research scientist inside us all

Glory be to heaven: Trixie Tracker is now available to the general public.

The Trixie Tracker is the result of two stat-o-manic parents who wanted to keep a record of their newborn's diaper output, sleep patterns and feeding schedule. To put it plainly, it's a bit obsessive about the minutiae of a newborn's life, but would be a wonderful tool for those of us (ahem, me) who can't remember when the baby last ate, or whether or not the baby had a BM today.

I was (not so) secretly jealous when I discovered the Tracker on their website, The Trixie Update, because we were still being woken up every 2 hours or so and could barely function, no less remember when we last changed a diaper. I remember Heidi actually put together an Excel spreadsheet in an attempt to log sleep hours, but it was hard to keep up when Colin would sleep in increments of 10 minutes. Ah, the salad days.

Colin's a bit old for the Tracker now, but it is cool to know that fellow befuddled parents can use technology to aid them in raising a child. Now if only the computer would only figure out how to get those regurgitated milk stains out of the carpet...
